TKC Walk-a-Run Carnival 2015

So today, I went for TKC Walk a run carnival, it was organized by Tun Kurshiah College Old Girl Association

Went to the race venue from my rental house puchong, took me 15 minutes to reach Putrajaya Water Sport Complex. After reaching there, the que for race band which acts as a race bib was pretty long and there was only one counter was open. But one of the organizing committee member helped me to get the band so I can warm up and get eady for flag off.

The race was flagged off by YB Khairy Jamaluddin at 7:30am. There was two kenyan leading the race, as far as I remember there was only one category and the prize are entitled for Malaysian only in TKC Walk-a-Run website. So I followed Mr Vadivellan throughout the race and I have to say he’s a strong junior veteran runner (46 y/old) and we paced together around 4.5KM and the Kenyans were already gone. Then Edan came from behind, and took the lead from Mr Vadivellu at the sidewalk of the lake around 1.5km to the finishing line.

Total distance recorded from Edans’s Polar watch was 5.5km, I clocked 19:23. Its was fast race, and I’m still lack of speed as I couldnt keep with two of them. I have to spend some time in gym and focus on more speed workouts. My cough hasn’t gone since We Run KL, reminds me its a blessing to have full healthy body.I have to say the race was well organized except the event band distribution in the morning, the race was guided by a bike marshall and there was sign and organizing comittee members in every junction. Well done to the team!
