KUALA LUMPUR, 15th July 2016 – adidas, the world’s top sports brand continues its prestigious partnership with Malaysia’s biggest running event, Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2016 (SCKLM), slated to be held on 7th August 2016 at Dataran Merdeka.
Back for the 8th year in full swing, SCKLM2016 sets a new record garnering 35,000 registered runners for the race. As the Official Apparel partner for the marathon, all registered participants will receive an official race tee with adidas ClimaLite® technology; while the pacers, working crew and volunteers will be spotted in commemorative apparel designed exclusively for the occasion.
In addition to that, adidas also introduced limited edition SCKLM2016 merchandise –adidas graphic tee (RRP: RM90) and adidas performance cap (RRP: RM45), available first-hand for the participants on www.kl-marathon.com [sold out at time of writing], and to be collected at adidas booth at the Standard Chartered KL Marathon Running Lifestyle Expo from 4th – 6th August.

During the pacer kit handover session held today at adidas Sports Performance Store, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, adidas also introduced a line-up of elite runners from local running crews – KL Striders, Kyserunkrew, Running Kaki Malaysia and TPRC, representing “team adidas” to race at SCKLM. Adding on to the list are social media influencers Jin Lim and Reuben Kang from JinnyboyTV, as they attempt their first full marathon stint this August.
“Team adidas will be fully-kitted with adidas running gear to support their training sessions leading towards the race day. We look forward to a series of performance breakthroughs at the upcoming event in August,” commented Wong.
